Commercial Painter

The Todd Robinson story

Todd Robinson Painting was started in Aberdeen, Washington in 1988 and was moved to the Olympia area in 1992.  From there we cover all Western Washington, parts of Eastern Washington, and for the right projects have gone to Hawaii, California, Oregon & Idaho.  We have been doing commercial painting & wall covering work as well as light industrial for over 30 years.

Todd Robinson started painting houses in Aberdeen in 1985, then after landing some Public Works projects at Fort Worden State Park, he moved his office to Lacey, Washington and shifted to focusing on strictly commercial work.  Soon after that he moved into what would become our long-term and current home in Tumwater, WA.  There he continued to expand and focus more on Public Works projects, eventually making the decision to become signatory to the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.  It wasn’t long before Todd Robinson Painting, Inc. was painting more schools every year in Washington State than any other single painting contractor, a distinction that we continue to hold to this day.

Sadly, Todd passed away in December of 2015, just as he was starting to move towards retirement by making long time superintendent Ken Cookston and estimator Robert Robinson partners in the company.  In a testament to his giant personality and impact on people throughout his life, both inside and outside of the construction industry, his memorial was attended by well over 1,000 people.

Today we carry on Todd’s vision and build upon it in ever-changing markets, while continuing to successfully deliver quality end products on time and on budget that keep customers and owners returning time after time.
